Speaking in Annual Day Function of Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, the Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki described this Institute as the feeder institution of Hotel Industry.The Governor said that the Indian tourism and hospitality industry has emerged as one of the key drivers of growth among the services sector in India; therefore your responsibility and role as a stakeholder for this profession solicit transformation and adaptation all the time, be it in the form of knowledge, technology or procedures ,he added.Appreciating the achievements of the Institute, Prof. Solanki said the Hotel Management Institute is providing 100 % placement to the students over the years in reputed organizations which indeed was an outstanding achievement. 

Congratulating all those who have been associated with the Institution for working with commitment and imparting relevant education of a high standard to its students who belongs to various sections of society, Prof. Solanki, said that the AmbedkarInstitute of Hotel Management, is playing a significant, role in developing, shaping and nurturing students community and helping to create a network where innovative ideas and practices can be developed, distributed, shared and implemented. He said the Institute would help in providing  experiential learning to the students and faculty evolving as a centre of excellence and continuous innovation for research and development.He said that he was sure that with the strong passion towards the profession, students hold the potential to be the future brand ambassadors of our nation.He wished that this Institute realises its vision of being the top hotel management Institute of the country in the coming years. He also gave away awards to outstanding students and staff for excelling in their respective fields.Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Adviser to Administrator, Mr. Parimal Rai, Home Secretary Cum Chairman of the Institution Mr. Anurag Aggarwal, Principal of the College, Mrs. Bharti Tyagi and Mrs Kavita Singh MD CITCO.
