In a fierce attack on the Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the Punjab BJP President Shri Kamal Sharma has termed Shri Kejriwal as "Natwarlal" of politics, who is befooling everyone, for his 'personal gains' and 'self-promotion'. In a hard hitting statement issued from the party headquarters, here this evening, Shri Sharma took a dig at Shri Kejriwal, saying: "This mufflerman bureaucrat turned politician has created anarchy in Delhi. Now, he is hell bent upon replicating the same in Punjab. But, the people of Punjab are very intelligent and would not allow him to succeed in his sinister designs." He said that Shri Kejriwal follows the policy of "hit and run", he hits an issue but runs away when asked about its solution."

Daring Shri Kejriwal to clarify his stand on three crucial issues, which till now AAP has smartly given a slip, Shri Sharma said: "Kejriwal has so far not clarified his stand on the JNU issue, wherein anti-national activities were being held and terrorists were being glorified as martyrs. It is shameful that Afzal Guru day was observed in JNU premises but Kejriwal, who claims to be a 'saint' in Indian politics, is mum." The BJP Punjab president demanded that Shri Kejriwal, who is presently on five-day visit to Punjab, should speak on the JNU issue, without any further delay.Touching another significant and burning issue of the JAT Quota stir in Haryana, Shri Sharma said that Haryana kept burning for so many days but unfortunately, Shri Kejriwal, who hails from the state of Haryana, did not uttered a single word. He further said: "What moral right Shri Kejriwal has to stay in politics, if he stays away from the crucial issues. AAP and particularly Shri Kejriwal owes an explanation to the people of Haryana, as to why he is silent on the matter."

Raking up another highly sensitive issue, concerning everyone in Punjab, Shri Sharma strongly condemned Shri Kejriwal for being 'tight-lipped' over the Khalistan and Bhindranwale. "Elections in Punjab are due to be held in early next year and Shri Kejriwal has already started electioneering but what has shocked everyone is that he is not clarifying his stand on the Khalistani agenda. Kejriwal, who is already in a dock, over the circulation of a poster of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, to observe his birth anniversary, should address the issue categorically." Shri Sharma also said that Khalistan issue and Bhindranwale ideology being pursued by some fringe elements can play a divisive role in deterioration of law and order in the Punjab and hence Shri Kejriwal must come out with clear and categorical statement on the matter. "The above-mentioned three issues are extremely crucial and important. It is demand of the BJP Punjab that Shri Kejriwal must break his 'shameful silence' on this during his ongoing Punjab tour": demanded Shri Sharma.

Shri Sharma also lambasted Shri Kejriwal for replicating his false propaganda of being "messiah" of poor people in Punjab. He said: "Earlier, Shri Kejriwal took the entire Delhi electorate for a ride by promising moon but did not fulfilled any of his poll promise after coming to power. Now, Shri Kejriwal is adopting similar tactics in Punjab by making big promises with the people. However, reality is that he has mastered the art of 'Natwarlal' to befool the people with lip talk and then enjoy power."
