Taking a dig at the top Congress leadership, over the issue of the relieving the alleged accused in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, Shri Kamal Nath, from the post of the Incharge of Punjab Congress Affairs, the former BJP Punjab President and party's national executive member Shri Kamal Sharma, has said that due to lack of "able leadership", the oldest political party (Congress), has now become a party of U-turns. Hitting sarcastically at the AICC Vice-President; Shri Sharma said that with his "capabilities", Rahul Gandhi will soon make Congress Mukt Bharat a reality.Shri Sharma said that initially Rahul said that Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Capt Amarinder Singh is party's Chief ministerial candidate but during his second visit, Rahul got completely silent on the matter. "Not only the other political parties but even the local Congress leaders were also surprised over this U-turn by Congress.

Likewise, sufi singer Hans Raj Hans was taken into party fold with allurement of sending him to Upper House of Parliament but again in a U-turn, some other leader was given Rajya Sabha seat. Certainly, I cannot recall this kind of shabby treatment being meted out to a dalit leader in Punjab", he stated.Shri Sharma said that now with Congress taking another U-turn on the issue of Kamal Nath, it clearly reflects that there is extreme crisis of 'able leadership' in Congress. "It seems that no discussions are held in Congress before making appointments and party leadership lacks vision, required to prevent party from getting embroiled into future controversies. Because of this problem, Shri Nath has to quit the post given to him by the party within barely three-four days", he said.Shri Sharma said that one after another U-turn on crucial issues by Congress, the party which ruled the country for almost six decades, only shows that party's political leadership now stands decimated. Firing another salvo, he said, "Congress kol na koi neta hai na koi niti (Neither the Congress has any leader nor any policy)." He further said that Congress as a political party has been dwindling in the entire country and it (Congress) is fighting a lost battle in Punjab as well. "There may be huge differences between the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi but latter (Rahul) is working day and night to fulfill Modi's dream of Congress Mukt Bharat", he concluded.
