As a part of the party's three-day national level "Jan Swabhiman Abhiyan" to be undertaken from February 18 to 20, the Punjab unit of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) would hold protest demonstrations in the state on February 20.Giving this information in a release issued from party headquarters, the Punjab BJP President Shri Kamal Sharma said: "On February 20, BJP would hold protests at the block level in the entire state on the issue of the ongoing JNU controversy. The party activists and leaders would sensitise the masses against the anti-national forces, particularly Congress & AAP, which are hell bent upon dividing the country just for their vested political interests."Shri Sharma said that the party leaders would submit a memorandum in all the districts to the respective Deputy Commissioner's on February 20.

He disclosed that all the BJP Ministers from Punjab, party MLA's and senior leaders, would participate in the Abhiyan. He added: "During the Abhiyan, the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists and leaders would also undertake a signature campaign on the issue in all the colleges."Shri Sharma said: "During the Abhiyan party would highlight the role played by Congress Vice-President in anti-India activity with respect to his utterances on the JNU issue, wherein the students raised slogans against India and also observed the Afzal Guru Day."Further training guns at the Gandhi scion, Shri Sharma said that terrorists are being glorified by anti-nationals and Rahul Gandhi is supporting them, which is shameful. Taking a dig at Rahul, the BJP state president said that entire Congress stands exposed on the JNU issue and the day is not far away when this anti-national party and Gandhi's would be completely be decimated in India.
