Reiterating the commitment to address public issues and fulfil promises made with people during elections, Minister of State for PHE, Forest, Irrigation & Flood Control and Animal Husbandry, Abdul Majeed Paddar Wednesday said that government led by Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed is giving top priority to ensure better civic facilities to people especially living in far-flung and remote areas of the State.The Minister said this while addressing a public gathering at D.H. Pora in Noorabad Constituency in district Kulgam.On the occasion, the Minister released a documentary film titled “MERA EK SAAL” featuring initiatives taken and developments achieved so far by the present dispensation, especially in Noorabad Constituency.

The Minister expressed his gratitude to the people and assured them that concerted efforts are being made for development and upliftment of the people. He said government has launched various developmental progammes and welfare schemes for progress and prosperity of the State.Mr. Paddar asked people to extend their cooperation to ensure efficient and effective governance besides keeping vigil on all programmes and government policies to ensure transparency, accountability, quality and timely completion of all developmental projects.Mr. Paddar said government has prioritized several sectors including education, health, roads, PHE, power etc to ensure basic amenities to public besides uplifting their socio-economic conditions. Officers from district administration, Kulgam, PHE, PDD, Education, Forest, Irrigation & Flood Control, Animal Husbandry and other departments besides public representatives were present on the occasion.
