To discuss the problems faced by students and colleges falling under Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University (MRSSTU), Bathinda, an urgent meeting of PUTIA, under the leadership of Dr. J.S Dhaliwal was called with the Vice Chancellor of MRSSTU, Dr. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Vice   President, PUTIA and Sh. Devinder Pal Singh, Moga, were also present.Dr. J.S Dhaliwal while speaking said that the motive of the meeting was to highlight the problems being faced by the students, parents and colleges. The University should do best efforts to speed up the coordination between itself and its colleges so the problems can be resolved at the earliest.Dr. Anshu Kataria while speaking on the occasion said that on the same lines of Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, MRSSTU, Bathinda should also start the January Batch to save the future of those students who could not gain admission in July Session due to reappear, late result declaration or less percentage etc.

Dr. Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, MRSSTU after listening to all the problems assured the delegates that keeping the rules and regulations in order, the University would soon solve all the problems. He further said that best efforts would be done by the University to raise the quality of education in Punjab.Various Chairmen/Directors from the colleges including Bhai Gurdass (Sangrur), Gurukul Vidyapeeth (Banur), SVIET (Banur), Gian Jyoti College (Mohali), Continental Group (Fatehgarh Sahib), ISF (Moga), Aklia (Bathinda), Baba Farid (Bathinda), Jasdev Singh Sandhu (Patiala), Asra Group (Bhawanigarh), Adesh Group (Muktsar), Aryabhatta(Barnala), Rayat Bahra (Mohali) etc were also present at the meeting.
