Minister of State for PHE, Forest, Animal Husbandry and Irrigation & Flood Control, Abdul Majeed Padder Monday asked officers of Rural Development Department to speed up the execution of all State and centrally sponsored developmental projects and schemes being carried out in Kulgam district and ensure their completion in stipulated time.The Minister said this while chairing an officers meeting at Chawalgam Rest House convened to review the implementation of Rural Development Department Projects and Schemes undertaken in Pahloo, D.H Pora, Manzgam and Denew Kandimarg blocks of Noorabad Constituency in Kulgam district.Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, Assistant Commissioner Development Kulgam, besides Block Development officers, Engineers and other concerned were present in the meeting.

The Minister reviewed implementation of set developmental targets taken up by RD Department in Pahloo, D.H Pora, Manzgam and Denew Kandimarg for current fiscal.The Minister said Rural Development Department plays a pivotal role in developmental process and authorities of the department have high responsibilities in efficient implementation and reach of all such schemes at grass root level for the development and welfare of rural population.

Mr. Paddar exhorted upon officers and engineers to start new developmental works immediately in wake of ensuing winter season and complete the works already taken at fast pace so that people are benefitted. He stressed upon them to utilize funds judiciously and ensure quality in work besides transparency in all developmental works.Mr. Padder asked the concerned officers to cover all deserving families of Halqa Kreeripora under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan(NBA) scheme to ensure efficient implementation of scheme besides making hygienic atmosphere in and around the area.While taking strong note of executing works without administrative approval, the Minister directed Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam to constitute a team of officers to enquire the matter and take action against the negligent officers.
