Minister of State for Finance & Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta, today kick started the macadamization work of Battal Ballian road in Udhampur here today.The black topping of 5km Battal Ballian road would be completed with an amount of Rs. 1.5 crore by the Public Works Department.The Minister reiterated that tenders of construction of many roads have been floated and the black topping work of these roads would be started in the town soon.Speaking on the occasion, Gupta issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers of PWD to ensure durability of roads without compromising the quality of material. He said that people of the area should personally monitor the quality of ongoing developmental works in their respective areas.
Mr. Gupta said that developmental works of the Constituency will be completed in a stipulated time frame so that all the basic requirements of the public could be met in a shorter span of time and long pending demand of basic works is fulfilled. Responding to the demands of the locals, the Minister assured the public of the area that all their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a time bound manner.
