Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sukhnandan Kumar informed the House that after the devastating floods of September 2014, the Department took up the execution of the breached and eroded spots on Vethathroo, Sandran and Bringi Nallah.Replying to a calling attention notice by MLA, Syed Farooq Ahmed Andrabi in Legislative Assembly here today, the Minister said that under SDRF, against the total work done of Rs 1612.96 lacs on these Nallahs an amount of Rs 190.78 lacs have been incurred ending March 2015 thereby restoring 299 spots.

“Under permanent restoration Rs 651.00 lacs have been released on Vethvathroo, Sandran and Bringi Nallahs. Rs 255.11 lacs have been incurred ending March 2015.  The balance amount has been revalidated for utilization during current financial year. 52 spots were completed on these Nallahs, while as remaining works are in progress,” the Minister informed.
