The states of Punjab and Haryana have come together on a common platform of emphasizing the uniformity in tax structure amongst the states of North India.Punjab Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhbir Singh Badal called on the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal at his residence here today. Both the leaders held discussions on topics of mutual interest and agreed to take the co-operation among both the states to the higher level in various sectors.During the occasion, Mr. Manohar Lal having a uniform tax structure would not only be helpful in promoting trade and commerce between the states of northern India but also put a complete stop to the unscrupulous practice of evading tax. during the meeting, Haryana Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu Singh, Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister Sanjeev Kaushal, Principal Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Mr. P.S. Aujla, Additional Chief Secretary (Excise and Taxation) Mr. Roshan Lal and Excise and Taxation Commissioner Punjab Mr. Anurag Verma were also present.
