Parkash Singh Badal Flags Off Motor Biking Expedition To Leh-Ladakh

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today flagged off 25-member “Motor Biking Expedition” from Chandigarh to Leh-Ladakh being jointly organized by PTU and Aryans Group of Colleges.Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s office said that Mr. Badal accompanied by Technical Education Minister Mr. Madan Mohan Mittal flagged off the expedition from outside his residence. 

Interacting with the students before leaving for Leh-Ladakh expedition, the Chief Minister wished them a safe and happy journey, adding he said such expeditions imbibe the spirit of adventure amongst the students besides offering an opportunity to acquaint them with the art, culture, language and cuisine of the different regions.  He said that such initiatives also help to disseminate the message of ‘unity in persity’ across the geographical boundaries of the country.  

The management of the Aryans Group apprised Mr. Badal that Punjab has now emerged as the educational hub.  There was a time when the students from Punjab had to move to South India to pursue higher education almost 15 years back, but now the students of not only India but from South East Asia, Africa and several other countries were studying in the prestigious colleges and institutions of Punjab.

Meanwhile, the Chairman Aryans Group Dr. Anshu Kataria informed the Chief Minister that the sole objective of the expedition was to project Punjab as Educational Hub in the neighboring states, besides spreading the message of Anti-Drugs and to boost adventure and sports activities amongst the students and faculties.The Chief Minister was accompanied by his Principal Secretary Mr. SK Sandhu, Special Principal Secretaries Mr.KJS Cheema and Mr.Gaggandip Singh Brar besides the students and faculty members of the Aryans Groups of Colleges.
