A 15-day long snow carnival-2017 concluded today at the famous tourist resort of Gulmarg.District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr Nasir Ahmad Naqash was chief guest, while as CEO GDA, officers of Tourism Department, tourists and other concerned were present on the occasion.During the carnival a series of activities like skiing, ice hockey, snow sculpting, snow mobile rally, snow rugby, night skiing etc were held which attracted huge participation.Terming these events as a platform for exploring latent potential of the youth, the DDC said that such events paves way for performing in national and international arena. He also highlighted the significance of organizing such events and said that these events boost our economic development.He also appreciated the Tourism Department for their exemplary endeavours and hailed other Line Departments for maintaining road connectivity and ensuring other facilities at the resort.Later the DDC distributed prizes and certificates among the best performers of the carnival.
