Independent MLA Langate Er Rasheed has appealed educationists all over India not to get mislead by propaganda of political leaders and security agencies about conducting of exams and other related issues in Kashmir.Rasheed was addressing a function at SKICC here that was organized by a local private school in collaboration with an NGO “Serving Nations”Rasheed, in a statement issued here, said that Kashmiris have every reason to doubt everything being imported from Delhi. He said, “While investment from various NGO’s in the field of education and other related activities should be appreciated, but any of such moves should not be at the cost of interfering into or diluting cultural, social, traditional and religious ethos of Kashmir.”The incumbent lawmaker said that Kashmiris will not tolerate anything that will amount to cultural or religious invasion in the name of education.“Had Kashmiris been against providing quality education to their children, then it would have been impossible for the organizers to organize such impressive functions,” Rasheed told the participants, “We don’t need sermons from those who blinded our children with pellets.” (CNS)
