Bali Bhagat visits make-shift camps for border people

Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today paid visit to various make-shift camps of border people in Raipur-Domana area and took stock of the situation.The administration has lodged the people of Akhnoor border belt in various government schools as precautionary measures to ensure their safety in wake of   prevailing situation along the Indo-Pak border. The people of several border villages falling in Khour, Akhnoor, Pragwal, and  Kaleeth, have been temporarily rehabilitated in government schools and community halls and administration has made all the necessary arrangements for their stay.While interacting with the displaced families, the Minister assured that the Government will take care of all their basic needs during their stay and asked them not to panic as this is the temporary safety measure taken by the authorities to safe-guard the life of those living near the borders. He asked them to cooperate with the administration.

Meanwhile, he issued on-the-spot instructions to the accompanying officers of the concerned departments to put in place all the necessary arrangements like food, sanitation, drinking water, medicare , electricity, and security in the camps so that the inmates do not face any difficulty during their stay. He called upon the officers to maintain a well-knit synergy to deal with the ground situation, adding that the administration should actively involve the local population, prominent persons, and members of the Panchayats to extend a helping hand to the displaced population at this hour of need.The concerned revenue officers, including Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu briefed the Minister about the arrangements made for the temporary rehabilitation of the displaced families.Later, the Minister inaugurated the 7th branch of prominent public school SHEMROCK at village Hakkal. 

While congratulating the management for opening the school, he said this play way school will cater to the needs of tiny-tots of this village with modern educational techniques.The Minister also addressed the locals who were gathered on the occasion and said that the BJP-PDP Government is fully committed to develop every corner of the Jammu and Kashmir with all necessary facilities. He referred to some major achievements in Raipur-Domana Constituency like construction of 100-bedded hospital at Kote-Bhalwal, setting up of Degree College, 4-laning of Akhnoor road, widening of Bantalab-Gharota road and blacktopping of interior roads. He said the tempo of development has just started and all the undertaken projects will be accomplished in a time bound manner.
