J&K RTI Movement anti-AFSPA campaign reaches Budgam

‘Campaign will act as a civil referendum’

In continuation to the "Repeal AFSPA Campaign" signature campaign by J&K RTI Movement reached Budgam on Wednesday where the second phase of the campaign "Legislators against corruption" was initiated by Syed Aga Ruhulla Mehdi today at Behshet-e-Zehra park near D.C. Budgam office.He said, “I am supporting the repeal AFSPA campaign whole heartedly and appeal all the legislators to stand against any anti-human law.”He also said wished that the campaign may succeed as in Tosa Maidan struggle.Dr. Shaikh Ghulam Rasool, chairman J& K RTI Movement and patron Tehreek-e-Jawabdihi, stated we will approach every one of MLAs to see who actually will support the pro-humanity moves. It will also act as an acid test for the MLAs to see whether they only are only after power or concerned about their people as well.He added the signature campaign will act as a civil referendum against AFSPA and other draconian laws.Event was supported by Civil society Budgam, Gujjer-Bakerwal Foundation, Tehreek-e-jawabdihi, Wake-up call, Chardoora Civil Society Forum and TBF.
