Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga today visited Gurha Salathia in Vijaypur area and inaugurated several development works including community pathway constructed with Rs 3.42 lakh under convergence plan.Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma accompanied the Minister during the visit.Addressing a mammoth gathering, Ganga said that the State government is working under a well knit strategy to provide enhanced basic amenities to the people especially those living in remote and border areas. He said that the objective of the government of taking the state to a new world of progress and prosperity can not be achieved without the active involvement of common masses.The locals apprised the Minister of various issues pertaining to development of the area which inter alia include construction of overhead bridge on railway line, construction of community hall, blacktopping of roads, library, shortage of staff in dispensary, additional bus services in the area, beautification of the pond etc.

Ganga assured the people that all their issues would be looked into for an early redressal.  He, on the spot, directed the DC Samba to prepare a proposal for construction of community hall in the area.The Minister assured the people that the work of blacktopping of all the roads in the area would be initiated soon to provide them better road connectivity besides regular supply of electricity and safe drinking water would also be ensured.Speaking on the issue of overhead bridge on railway line, Ganga said that the proposal has already been submitted to higher authorities.Spelling out the improved services in Government schools, Ganga impressed upon the parents to ensure maximum enrolment of their wards in these institutions. He also asked the teachers to put in extra efforts in delivering best to the students for their mental and physical growth in an innovative manner.Jugal Kishore, while speaking on the occasion, said the agenda of the Government is development which is being pursued with utmost dedication and sincerity. He appealed the people to avail the benefit of various welfare schemes launched by the Centre and State Governments.Among others District Development Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
