Led by retired Dy.SP Tirath Singh Slathia, a large number of respectable and well known citizens and activists joined the BJP at party headquarters Kachi Chawni, Jammu. The new entrants into the party were welcomed by Leader of legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, senior leader Chander Mohan Sharma, State Secretary Harinder Gupta, Assistant Press Secretary Pt. Ashok Kumar Poonchi, Jammu District President Rajesh Gupta, District Vice-president Vikram Randhawa, Baldev Singh Baloria and other leaders.On the occasion, Ashok Khajuria said that BJP is always open to the sincere and genuinely public spirited persons and welcomes them in its fold. He said that BJP and its earlier avatars Jan Sangh and Praja Parishad have a glorious record of having struggled for national cause in the state. State’s complete and full integration with the country is its liet-motif and it shall not rest till such pisive things like article-370, separate constitution of the state etc. are not abolished. Every nationalist should feel at home in BJP, he said.

Chander Prakash Ganga appealed the new entrants in the party to work wholeheartedly for the agenda of the party and go in public to motivate people to participate in “Lalkaar rally” of Narendra Modi on 1st December at M.A. Stadium.Tirath Singh Slathia, while giving reasons for having chosen to join BJP said that because of its constant and uncompromising struggle for bringing state closer to the rest of the country, he felt that this was the political party for him. He was greatly impressed by BJP’s ideology and its public crusades. BJP has been always in forefront for public cause.Prominent among those who joined BJP included R.S Chib, S.P. Sharma, D.M. Sharma, B.R. Sharma, R.L. Malhotra, Ram Dass, K.L. Gupta, M.S. Jamwal, N.S. Slathia, S.D. Slathia, B.S. Slathia, S. Mohan Singh, S. Swaran Singh, S. Ajaypal Singh, S.
