To sabotage JKLF public meeting at Bandipora, police resorted to worst kind of oppressive measures and from last night a full-fledged crackdown against JKLF is going on. To stop JKLF from holding Bandipora Jalsa police last night raided the residence of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and arrested him. Police also raided JKLF activists in Bandipora and around in a pursuit to arrest them and disrupt the public meeting.Despite heavy restrictions and arrests, JKLF continued with its program and two separate delegations of JKLF led by vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt and zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal started their journey towards Bandipora.Delegation led by advocate Butt was intercepted by police at Safapora and Bashir sahib along with Muhammad Yasin Butt, Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Shakir Ahmad, Bashrat Ahmad were arrested and lodged at police station Sumbal.

Meanwhile delegation led by Noor Mohammad Kalwal after dogging police and forces managed to reach Bandipora where they held a public meeting and rally. After the public meeting as they were travelling back to Srinagar, police and forces stopped them at Papachan and arrested Noor Muhammad Kalwal , sheikh Abdul Rashid, professor Javed, Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Nor Muhammad Katjoo, Mushtaq Ahmad Gabroo and Suhail Ahmad prior to these arrests ,JKLF leaders Noor Muhammad Kalwal and sheikh Abdul Rashid addressed people at Bandipora main Chowk. In their address, JKLF leaders strongly condemned the restrictions and blanket ban on peaceful political activities and said that India and its stooges have choked every space foe peaceful political activities and by doing so they are promoting violence. He said that young boys are being arrested, tortured and pushed to the wall which is highly condemnable.
