The Governor of Haryana, Punjab and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki stressed on the role of media in generating awareness among people for an inclusive growth of the society. Media should exhibit objectivity, fairness and deep sense of responsibility towards society. He said that media has the capability to empower the common man by highlighting the policies and welfare scheme of the Government so that people should reap the benefits of progress and development.
Expressing these views while speaking in an Indian Iconic Award function, organized by Real Flavors Newspapers group, today held at Zirakpur Prof. Solanki said communication plays a big role in bringing all people together.Lauding the role of organizers Prof. Solanki said that honoring those who plays a significant role for creating healthy society will motivate others also to follow their path. He also gave awards on the occasion.Punjab Education Minister, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema also spoke on the occasion.
