Saying that to extend basic amenities to people is prime job of government led by the dynamic Chief Minister,Omar Abdullah and number of developmental and welfare schemes have been launched in this regard which are yielding better results and people are being benefitted at large, the Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone today said that government is exploring all possibilities for leading State to touch new heights of development and prosperity.The Minister said that during his visit to Sonawari Constituency while addressing a large gathering at ShahGund village.Mr. Lone said government will not leave any stone unturned for upliftment of socio-economic conditions of the people particularly living in far flung areas.MLA, Amira Kadal and Provincial President National Conference, Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani, Provincial Secretary National Conference, Showkat Ahmad Mir, Advocate Ghulam Hassan Dar, representatives were accompanying the Minister

During his visit, the Minister took stock of various developmental works under execution in the different areas of the Constituency. He directed the concerned executing agencies for judicious use of funds and time bound completion of these projects so that people do not face any difficulty especially in winter season.Mr. Nasir Aslam Wani in his address asked people to reject pisive and vested elements for State’s development and urged them to play active role for strengthening democratic setup in the State.During the tour, various deputations met the Minister and brought several issues before him including repairing of water supply pipes, electric pole and wiring besides upgradation of interior roads and lanes.The Minister gave spot directions to the concerned officers regarding various issues confronting to the people. On the occasion, the people of the area lauded the efforts made by Mr. Lone for development of the area, besides improving socio-economic status of the people. They demanded for fulfilment of pending issues of the area on at an earliest.On the occasion, various officers of district administration were also present on the occasion.
