Arrangements for celebration of Independence Day, 2015 were reviewed at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Shopian. The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at Sports Stadium Shopian.
The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the officers to make arrangements for the celebration of Independence Day well in time. He stressed upon the officers of R&B, PHE, PDD, Municipality, Information, Police to make necessary arrangements at Sports Stadium Shopian.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Shopian was impressed upon to make adequate security arrangements on the occasion. The Officers of School Education, Youth Services and Sports Departments were enjoined to prepare students for presenting various cultural and other activities. The meeting was informed that the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, NCC and the students of different schools will participate in the march past on the occasion. The function will start with Shahnaivadan.A full rehearsal will be held on 13th of August, 2015. All the District/Sectoral Officers participated in the meeting.
