District Development Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad accompanied by Executive Engineers of PDD, PHE, officers of CA&PD, Revenue, Police and Municipal Committee, today visited Chrar-i-Sharief and its adjoining areas to review the arrangements for the celebrations of Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-i-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr.District Development Commissioner interacted with the members of Auqaf Committee Chrar-i-Sharief and other concerned officers of the administration and discussed the arrangements for the ensuing festivals.It was informed that sufficient stock of essential commodities of Rice, Sugar, Atta, K-Oil, & LPG have been made available at the sale outlets in the Budgam district.
The District Development Commissioner called upon the PDD & PHE Departments to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supply during the festivals besides ensuing proper cleanliness at the places of congregation of Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-i-Qadr & Eid-ul-Fitr.He also stressed for intensification of market checking to ensure availability of quality eatables besides curbing overcharging and black marketing in the district. He also directed the Traffic Police to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
