Arrangements for Shab-i-Qadr, Friday following and Eid-ul-Fitr were finalized in a meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, here today.The meeting was attended by Superintendents of Police Baramulla and Sopore, Superintending Engineers of R&B, PDD and Hydraulic, Executive Engineers, Chief Medical Officers, Chief Animal Husbandry officer, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Assistant Director CA&PD, Tehsildars and officers of various departments.It was decided in the meeting that uninterrupted power supply shall be provided to the people. The PHE department was directed to ensure water supply to the people, while as, CA&PD was directed to ensure ration, sugar and LPG supply  to the people.

The Animal Husbandry Department was directed to ensure availability of poultry and establishment of sale centers across the district. While as Municipal Committees were directed to ensure cleanliness at Eidgahs, Mosques and monitor the same regularly, besides Assistant Regional Transport Officer was directed to provided better transport facility to the people on these holy days.It was decided that regular market checking shall be conducted by special teams comprising of CA&PD, Food Safety, Municipal Committees and Legal Meteorology departments under the supervision of respective Sub Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars to ensure that quality products are sold and prices are kept under control. Nodal Officers nominated in the meeting shall monitor the market checkings by the special teams in all the markets.
