Deputy Commissioner Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal today reviewed the arrangements for  Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee Elections 2015, here at a meeting of Zonal And Sectoral Magistrates and contesting candidates.During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner   passed instructions to the Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates to check and sanitize each polling station and report to the concerned AROs.He stressed upon the officers to strictly follow the guidelines of Election Commission of India and immediately report the instance of any violation to the Returning Officer.Keeping in view the polling day of July 8 drawing closed, all the contesting candidates were directed to strictly follow the guidelines of Model Code of Conduct (MCC). Deputy Commissioner informed the meeting that the polling time will be from 8am to 5pm and the counting of votes would be held at the same polling stations. 

There will be ballot Paper voting and would be conducted as per the guide lines of ECI.He apprised the meeting that contesting candidates and their agents will not be allowed within a radius of 200m of a polling station adding that mobile phones would also not be allowed in the polling stations.Asstt. Commissioner (R), Returning Officer Atul Gupta asked the zonal/ sectoral Magistrates to maintain a close coordination among them and their AROs for the successful completion of election process.Directions were passed to the police for making foolproof security arrangements at the polling stations to maintain law and order during the elections. Additional SP Nasir Ahmed Khan, SDM Billawar, SDM Hiranagar, AROs and contesting candidates were   present in the meeting.
