Rakhra Releases Books On Panchayat Laws & Land Measurements

Rural Development & Panchayat Minister Surjit Singh Rakhra released two books at Vikas Bhawan, Mohali today which would provide detailed information regarding Land Laws & Land Measurements.Books titled ‘Panchayat Laws’ and ‘Basic information regarding Land Measurements’ is written by Adv. Jaswinder Singh Member Punjab Child Rights Security Commission. Both books are written in Punjabi.Speaking on the occasion Mr. Surjit Singh Rakhra said that this is a great effort by the author to provide valuable knowledge in the mother tongue as most of the rural background people did not have the knowledge about these laws as most of the books regarding such laws are available only in English. He said that now the people who are not familiar with the English especially the rural people of villages would also become aware about the Land Laws and Land Measurement information in their own language.Mr. Rakhra announced that these books would be made available to panchayats and every house of the villages in the Public interest. These books would also paly an vital role in campaign launched by the rural development department to aware rural people about their rights.Others prominent on the occasion included Mr. Karuna Raju Director Rural Development & Panchayats Department, Mr. J.P. Singla Deputy Director, Mr. Jatinder Singh Brar and Mr. Shivdev Singh.
