Minister for Health, Choudhary Lal Singh today visited Kheer Bhawani shrine at Tulmulla in district Ganderbal to review the arrangements put in place by the district administration for annual Kheer Bhawani Mela being celebrated on 26 May.The Minister went around the shrine complex and took stock of the arrangements being made by the administration for the devotees. To oversee the arrangements, hygiene, functioning and availability of staff, the minister visited the 10-bedded hospitals, stalls, langars and camps established by different departments inside the shrine complex. The minister directed the authorities to impose a fine of Rs 200 on a dental technician, Mohammad Yusuf for not having name plate on his apron.

Besides medical facilities the minister also reviewed the position with regard to power, water supply, sanitation and availability of essentials for the devotees.The minister stressed upon the officers to keep close coordination to ensure all possible facilities are made available to the devotees during the Mela. He directed the officers to ensure that the devotees don’t face any kind of inconvenience. Speaking on the occasion the minister said such festive occasions exhibit brotherhood and communal harmony among the people of Kashmir.Among others DDC Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat , SSP Ganderbal Imitiyaz Ismaiel, Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Director CA & PD, District information Officer and Designated Food safety Officer , Ganderbal were present on the occasion.
