Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said his government would provide portable ventilators and x-ray machines to quake-hit Nepal as well as software and hardware support to maintain the database of Nepalese living in India. The announcement was made during a meeting between Nepalese Ambassador Deep Kumar Upadhyay and Kejriwal at the Delhi Secretariat. Among other issues, they discussed the situation in Nepal after the devastating earthquake."The ambassador told the CM that they required medical equipment -- portable ventilators and x-ray machines. The CM agreed to it," a statement said.

The ambassador also sought help and cooperation from the Delhi government in maintaining a database of the people of Nepal in India, a request that was immediately accepted by Kejriwal."The Delhi government will provide Nepal with a software and hardware support to maintain the database of the people of Nepal in India," said the statement.Three major earthquakes and many aftershocks have killed thousands of people and caused widespread destruction in Nepal.
