Chairman, PSEB inaugurates 26th Aryans Job Fest

Over 4000 candidates participated, 332 shortlisted by 50 leading companies in Aryans Job Fest

“To increase the employability skills, Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) would conduct special career and placement orientation sessions in 2015-16 for the students of +1 and +2 in Punjab.” This was stated by the Chairman, PSEB, Dr. Tejinder Kaur Dhaliwal while inaugurating 26th Aryans Job Fest held today at Aryans Campus. Chairman, Aryans College of Engineering (ACE), Dr. Anshu Kataria presided over the event.Dhaliwal further added that under the leadership & guidance of Punjab Education Minister, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema; Board would also start 12 new skill based vocational courses from 2015-16 session in Punjab. These courses would emphasize on integrating and improving the status of vocational and technical education thereby providing better placement opportunities to the students in Punjab.Over 4000 candidates from all over the country participated in this job fest. The fest attracted almost 50 leading companies of corporate world including Axis Bank, Bebo Technologies, Caddesk Ltd, Impinge Solutions, Reliance, GS Alloys, Jasier Technologies, Satguru Technologies etc offering a variety of jobs for all the sections present. Around 332 candidates were shortlisted with packages starting from 1.5 lacs up to 3.5 lacs. 

Dr. Dhaliwal mentioned that Board would also visualize towards the integration of general, technical, skill based, Industry oriented and vocational courses at school level to give industrial exposure to the students so they may get the help to adopt the curriculum of these courses later on. She urged students not to look for package but to go for good profiles which will take them quite far in their Career.She emphasized need for discipline, time management and above all agility & curiosity to succeed in life.Dr. Kataria said, “Established in 2007, the Aryans Group has completed 8 glorious years in the field of education. Through this period, Aryans has regularly provided the corporate world with well-prepared professionals, and industry leaders. This history of excellence has been validated by the fact that Aryans Group of Colleges has been consistently at the top in providing best placements to the job seekers.” 

Registrar, ACE, Prof. B.S Sidhu while expressing his great joy said that An Excellent Team work by the students, Teaching and Non-Teaching Faculty and admin staff under the guidance of the management made this Mega Event smooth and successful.Ms. Tejinder Kaur, TPO, ACE said that it’s for the first time that more than 5000 candidates were being registered for this job fest. Students of various Universities and Colleges not only of Chandigarh but other states like Punjab, Haryana, HP, JK, UP, Rajasthan etc. also came to participate in this Job Fest.
