Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Mohammad Sagar asked the officers to put in place an effective and foolproof mechanism to ensure that the devotees coming to pay their obeisance at the revered shrine of Khankah-i-Mohalla do not face any inconvenience during the coming Urs days. The Minister was interacting with the officers during his visit to the revered shrine of Hazrat Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA) to personally oversee the arrangements put in place for the annual Urs days being celebrated there. Sagar was accompanied by senior officers of district administration and other officers of various departments like PHE, SMC, PDD, R&B and Health.The Minister directed the officers of PDD and PHE for ensuring adequate power and water supply during Urs days in the shrine and also in the catchment areas around the shrine as well.

He also directed the officers of SMC for maintaining proper hygienic environ and cleanliness in and around the shrine. He directed the health authorities for setting-up of temporary health centre at the venue for the Urs days for the convenience of the devotees. He also directed the Transport authorities for making adequate arrangement of transport for the commuters coming there from other parts of the Valley.Later, the Minister also visited other adjoining areas and took stock of the pace of developmental works being executed by various departments. He directed the concerned for accelerating the pace of work for ensuring their timely completion.
