Stating that National Conference (NC) had offered the outside support to the PDP for government formation in the larger interests of the state, party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar Thursday alleged that PDP is resorting to invalid excuses and lies as they are up for forming the government with their masters.Sagar while addressing the Working Committees meetings of District Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag and Kulgam at Nawa-e-Subah Complex here said, “PDP stands exposed now as they have geared up for tying up with their masters who founded and funded the party's creation.”

“We had offered unconditional support to Mufti Sayeed’s party for forming the government without seeking to be a part of the Government, in the larger interests of the State and to protect the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, but PDP has made its mind to go with their handlers for government formation,” Sagar told the members of district working committees, MLA’s and in charge constituency candidates.“The lies and invalid excuses to which the PDP has resorted hold no ground in real sense as National Conference had made it clear that it never wanted to be part of the Government with PDP,” he said.

“Even today NC lives in the hearts of the people. PDP's efforts to spread canards among people against this party can’t overrule the reality,” he said and added “We stand by our commitment for complete autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir, for revoking the black laws like AFSPA imposed with the consent of Mufti Sayeed, and resolving the long pending political issue of Kashmir through negotiations.”Sagar claimed no other political party in Kashmir can be alternative to NC as our party has firmly fought for the rights of the people and freed them from the autocratic rule for which most of our leadership was even jailed.

“Since last 83 years NC has worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people of state and guided the masses on the right path and we will stick to this principle come what may in the future as well,” he said and added, “We have faced the turbulent times in the past and have emerged victorious every time. Our party is a strong cadre based party and our vision towards the interests of the state was never been power-centric.

Sagar said Sher-i-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah would always stress to follow the path of truth in order to achieve success. Others who attended the meeting include, MLA’s – Altaf Ahmed Kaloo, Advocate Abdul Majeed Bhat, MLC Ali Mohammad Dar, Dr Bashir Ahmed Veeri, In-charge constituencies Advocate Showkat Ahmad Ganai, Riyaz Ahmed Khan, Ghulam Nabi Adgami, Imran Nabi Dar, Sheikh Mohammad Rafi, Manzoor Ahmad Wani, Peer Afaaq, Irfan Ahmed Shah, Ex-MLC G N Shaheen, Senior Vice President Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Provincial Secretary Showkat Ahmed Mir, and concerned District and Block presidents.
