Lakhs of devotees, religious, social and political personalities today thronged here at Diwan Todar Mal Hall to pay their homage to the great religious leader Sant Baba Ajit Singh ji Hansali Wale on his Bhog and Antim Ardas.Paying glowing tributes to Sant Baba Ajit Singh ji Hansali Wale, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal described him as a great spiritual ambassador who contributed enormously in strengthening the social fabric through demonstrating the ethos of secularism, communal harmony, peace, religious tolerance and brotherhood. Baba ji’s secular credentials were a testimony to his benevolence and respect for all the religions as he donated generously for the construction of Churches and Mosques besides Gaushalas. Baba ji was a true Sikh who spread the message of Sikhism in the every nook and corner of not only in the state, country but even across the globe, where he was highly revered by his devotees. Sant Baba Ajit Singh ji Hansali Wale was a great visionary who established several educational and health institutions as he fully realized the importance of these core sectors for the welfare of mankind. He said Baba ji’s life and ideology would be a light house for the mankind as he was a great soul and firm believer of transforming sayings into actions.

The Chief Minister said that the real tribute to this great religious leader would be to shun the social evils in order to carve out a harmonious society rising above the parochial considerations of caste, color, creed and religion for which Sant Baba Ajit Singh ji ever preached the message of great Sikh Gurus for the well being (Chardi Kala) of the mankind. The Chief Minister also lauded the contribution of Baba ji in further propagating the legacy of free community kitchen (Guru ka Langar) initiated by our great Sikh Gurus. He was a great philanthropist who liberally donated to several social, voluntary and NGOs for the social cause and organized several Langars for the people to provide succor in the odd times of natural calamities in the entire country. 

Felicitating Baba Parmjit Singh ji who has been chosen as successor by the Sangat to further spread the legacy of Sant Baba Ajit ji Hansali Wale, Mr. Badal exhorted the people to extend full cooperation and support to Baba Parmjit Singh ji to enable him to take the mission of his mentor forward for the wellbeing of the humanity by spreading the message of Sikhism. Mr. Badal offered to extend all support and cooperation to Baba Parmjit Singh ji for the accomplishing the ongoing projects for the welfare of the mankind initiated by the Sant Baba Ajit Singh Hansali Wale.

On the occasion, Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa President Sant Samaj and Head Damdami Taksal performed the Antim Ardas. Later, the President of Guru Hargobind Sahib Education and Charitable Trust Ranjit Singh Libra thanks the people for joining in the Antim Ardas of Sant Baba Ajit Singh Hansali Wale.Prominent amongst other who also spoke on the occasion included Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Mr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, President SGPC Jathedar Avtar Singh, Member Parliament Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Former Chief Minister Mrs. Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, MLA Patiala Mrs. Perneet Kaur. Besides Cabinet Minister Mr. Surjit Singh Rakhra, several leaders from different political parties and religious and social organizations.
