The Punjab Government has announced 50% subsidy on the purchase of automatic fodder reaper which has capacity to reap green fodder of one hectare within one hour.Disclosing this here today Gulzar Singh Ranike said that the farmers could avail the subsidy by applying before the Dairy Development department. He said that the work of dairy farming has been badly influence due to the paucity of labourer. He said that the reaping of green fodder is one of the difficult activities, a dairy farmer has to perform everyday to feed the cattle. He said that it is need of the hour to mechanize these kinds of dairy activities for the development and progress of dairy farming occupation. He further said that keeping in this mind the Punjab Government has decided to provide 50% subsidy on the purchase of automatic fodder reaper. Mr. Inderjit Singh, Director Dairy Development said that this automatic fodder reaper would be a great help for the dairy farmers domesticating 10 or more cattle. He said that the department has been providing subsidy of Rs. 1 lac on this automatic fodder reaper. He said that dairy farmers need to apply to the deputy director dairy of the concerned districts to get the subsidy or further inquiry.
