Presiding over the Second Board of Governors meeting of the Punjab Public School Nabha, held here today the Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Shivraj V. Patil, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors, asked the Headmaster of the School to take all precautionary measures to provide security to the students and staff of the school. He said install CCTV cameras and metal detector machine at entry point and nobody should allow entering the school without proper checking and verification.Patil said that we must utilize all resources available at our disposal to explore and develop the potential of our students by stretching their abilities through innovative programmes. He said it was our responsibility to ensure that our youth receives a proper education. Therefore, it was very important to focus on character building and to inculcate amongst the youth, the values of compassion, harmonious living and respect for elders.
Reviewing the activities, achievements and future programmes of the school, Mr. Patil appreciated the role of school management for introducing modern system of education in the school. He said that this system of recorded lectures will help in teaching and learning in the School. He said that it will be proved easy for the students to understand the subject much better with this technology. He also asked to prepare lecture as per the syllabus and share it with other schools. He said that the education is to help students to become good citizens of not only state or country but of a whole world.Mr. Patil, also asked the Headmaster of Punjab Public school Nabha to impart required training and coaching to students and prepare them for Police Services, Para military forces along with Defence Services as there is more opportunity of employment in this sector.
Earlier two minutes silence was observed to mark the respect to school children killed in Pakistan.New members who joined in the capacity of members of the Governing body of Public School Nabha included, Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal, Chief Secretary Punjab as ex- officio member, Mr. C. Roul, Principal Secretary School Education Punjab as ex- officio Member and Brig. Atul Dharampuri, Station Commander, Nabha as special invitee member, were welcomed by the governing body.Prominent amongst others who attended the meeting included, Mr. MP Singh Principal Secretary to Governor Punjab, Mr. Jagpreet Singh, Head Master of the School, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Vijay Oberoi, Lt. Gen. former Goc-in-C, T.K. Sapru, Dr Jaspal Singh, Vice Chancellor Punjabi University and Mr. Kanwar Sandhu.
