The meeting was attended by distinguished members of the Governing Council, including Sh. O.P. Goel, Founder President, Indian Building Congress; Sh. C. Debnath, President, IBC; Sh. Toly Basar, Vice President, IBC; Sh. Mayank Tilak, Vice President, IBC; Sh. C.B. Ojha, Vice President, IBC and Honorary Secretary, IBC; along with 64 Governing Council members representing various States and Union Territories. The members deliberated on the future strategy, vision, and activities of the Indian Building Congress.

On this occasion, the Indian Building Congress also released its Annual Calendar of Activities for the year 2026–27. The calendar outlines a series of seminars, technical sessions, workshops, and other professional programmes on important engineering and construction-related topics. These activities are aimed at enhancing the technical knowledge and professional skills of engineers, architects, planners, and other stakeholders in the built environment sector, while promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices.

During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on various important matters concerning the growth and development of the Indian Building Congress. Discussions focused on the admission of new members from different parts of the country with a view to strengthening the organization and enhancing its national presence. 

The Governing Council also deliberated on strategies for the expansion of IBC activities across various States and Centres to encourage greater participation of engineers, architects, planners, academicians, and professionals associated with the construction and infrastructure sector. 

In addition, members exchanged valuable suggestions for further improving the functioning of the Indian Building Congress. Emphasis was laid on promoting professional excellence, enhancing technical knowledge-sharing, organizing more seminars and conferences, and strengthening collaboration among professionals to address emerging challenges in the building and construction industry.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to further strengthen the Indian Building Congress as a premier national professional body dedicated to the advancement of engineering, construction technology, and sustainable infrastructure development in the country.
