H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary, Chandigarh Administration, today chaired a review meeting with the Secretaries of all departments to assess key departmental issues and administrative matters.During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed that the accounts of all corporations, boards and societies under the Chandigarh Administration should be regularly monitored and properly maintained. 

He also instructed that meetings of the Boards of Governors be conducted as per the prescribed norms and that annual reports be submitted within the stipulated timelines.Emphasising the need for a coordinated approach to tackle drug abuse, the Chief Secretary directed all departments of the Chandigarh Administration to actively participate in the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) from the first week of August with the objective of making Chandigarh a drug-free city. 

He stressed that every department should contribute to the campaign through awareness activities and public outreach.Reviewing the implementation of the Chandigarh Startup Policy, 2025, the Secretary Industries informed that the policy was notified in April 2025 and its operational guidelines were issued in January 2026. 

The process for recognition of startups and empanelment of incubators has been digitised through the Service Plus portal of Chandigarh Administration. So far, 13 startups have applied for recognition under the policy, while applications from incubators for empanelment are being invited. It was further informed that the High Powered Committee and the Policy Monitoring and Implementation Committee under the policy have been constituted.

The Chief Secretary directed the Industries Department to further expedite implementation of the Startup Policy by organising awareness camps and sensitisation programmes to encourage greater participation by eligible startups and incubators.

Amit Kumar, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, Sh. Sorabh Kumar, Chief Conservator of Forests, Sh. Swapnil M. Naik, Secretary Personnel, Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Harpreet Singh Sudan, Secretary Social Welfare, Sh. Abid Syed, Managing Director, CITCO, Sh. Mansoor Mohammad, Secretary Food & Supplies, Sh. Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sh. Manjeet Singh Sheoran, Superintendent of Police, and other senior officers.
