Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi on Wednesday reviewed preparations of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi's proposed visit to Haryana on July 17 and the mega public rally to be held in Jind. The meeting was held in n Narwana.

The Minister directed the officers concerned to ensure that the event is conducted in a grand,  disciplined, and well-organised manner. Later, while interacting with mediapersons after the meeting, the Cabinet Minister said that July 17 would be etched in golden letters in the history of Haryana, as Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi is set to dedicate several landmark development projects to the state from Jind.

He said the Prime Minister will flag off India's first hydrogen-powered train, marking a historic milestone not only for Indian Railways but also for the country's transition towards clean and green energy. The initiative, he said, reflects the Prime Minister's vision of promoting pollution-free transportation and positioning hydrogen technology as a key pillar of India's future.

Highlighting another major achievement, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the modernised Jind and Narwana railway stations, redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Equipped with world-class passenger amenities, the upgraded stations will significantly improve travel convenience for lakhs of commuters while giving the region's railway infrastructure a modern identity.

Calling the event a "double historic occasion," the Minister said the simultaneous launch of the country's first hydrogen-powered train and the inauguration of the two redeveloped railway stations would make the day memorable for both Haryana and the nation. He said there is tremendous enthusiasm among the people of Haryana, particularly in Jind and Narwana, regarding the Prime Minister's visit.

The public rally in Jind, he added, will be organised as a completely eco-friendly event, reflecting the government's commitment to environmental sustainability. The Minister further said that the Prime Minister's visit to Haryana would not be limited to railway projects alone, as several other important development initiatives are also expected to be announced for the state.

He also informed that the government is working on a plan to develop a grand Sikh Museum over nearly 150 acres in Kurukshetra to commemorate the unparalleled sacrifices and invaluable contributions of the Sikh Gurus to the nation.
