Aam Aadmi Party General Secretary and Media In-charge, Mr. Baltej Singh Pannu, today attended the Bhog and Antim Ardas of veteran social worker and former Municipal Councillor , Late Joginder Singh Chhanga, who had been continuously contesting Municipal Corporation elections from Patiala city since 1992 while remaining devoted to public service.
He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Chhanga (Vadera) family and assured them that the Aam Aadmi Party would always stand by them. Speaking as the party’s Chief Spokesperson, Baltej Pannu said that personalities like Joginder Singh Chhanga are rare in society, as he dedicated his entire life to serving the people and working for the welfare of society.
Sharing his personal experience, Pannu said that the Chhanga family, deeply associated with Sikh religious traditions, regularly attended the daily Chowki at Gurdwara Shri Dukhniwaran Sahib, the sacred place blessed by the visit of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib. He added that he had personally seen Joginder Singh Chhanga distributing prasad to devotees from his honest earnings.
Referring to information shared by Joginder Singh Chhanga’s sons, Vicky and Dicky, Baltej Pannu said that Chhanga’s passing was peaceful and dignified, akin to that of a saintly soul. Consoling the bereaved family, Pannu said that he personally, as well as the Aam Aadmi Party, would always stand with the Chhanga family in their joys and sorrows. On the occasion, PRTC Chairman Mr. Harpal Juneja, Senior Deputy Mayor of the Municipal Corporation Harinder Kohli, and Bhagwan Dass Juneja also expressed their condolences to the family.
