Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Welfare, and Antyodaya (SEWA) Minister, Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi, said that any negligence in addressing public grievances will not be tolerated. He directed officers to ensure that citizens' complaints are resolved in a timely, transparent, and sensitive manner.
The Minister was speaking at the meeting of the District Public Relations and Public Grievances Committee held today in Fatehabad, where a total of 14 cases were taken up for hearing. Of these, six were resolved on the spot, while inquiry committees were constituted to investigate the remaining eight cases.
The committees have been directed to submit their reports at the next meeting. Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the Public Grievances Committee is not merely a platform for hearing complaints but an effective mechanism for ensuring timely justice for citizens.
He directed all officers to ensure the prompt implementation of every decision taken by the committee, thereby strengthening public confidence in the administration. During the meeting, grievances related to the Police Department, Urban Local Bodies, Agriculture Department, Power Utilities, and several other departments were reviewed, with necessary directions issued for their resolution.
During the meeting, the Minister directed that a show-cause notice be issued to Vinod Verma, XEN, Water Services Division, Hisar, for remaining absent without prior intimation. Taking serious note of complaints against Rajinder, Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Irrigation Department, regarding alleged misconduct with employees and repeated negligence in the discharge of official duties, the Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to forward a recommendation to the department for his suspension.
