Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed President of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee and Congress Party's Chief Whip in the Lok Sabha, B. Manickam Tagore at New Delhi and congratulated him on assuming new responsibility. He expressed confidence that under the leadership of B. Manickam Tagore, the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee would become stronger and gain renewed direction and energy.

Kewal Singh Pathania also shared information about various developmental and public welfare initiatives being implemented by the Himachal government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. He said that the state government was committed to ensuring inclusive development through transparent, accountable and people-centric governance.

He stated that the Chief Minister was promoting tourism on a large scale and Kangra district was being developed as the tourism capital of Himachal Pradesh. He also highlighted that the Durgesh Aranya Wildlife Park was also being developed at Bankhandi in Dehra of Kangra district.

The Deputy Chief Whip further said that in a historic initiative, the state government has introduced a minimum support price for the procurement of cow and buffalo milk, as well as selected products grown through natural farming, making Himachal Pradesh the first state in the country to implement such a measure.

He said that despite financial challenges, the state government has fulfilled all the 10 guarantees promised to the people during the Assembly elections. Sh. Pathania also highlighted the ambitious Chief Minister Sukh-Aashray Yojana, launched to provide support to orphaned children and destitute women and Himachal Pradesh was the first state in India to enact legislation providing care and protection for those requiring special care, including orphans, persons with disabilities, destitute women, and abandoned senior citizens.

He further stated that the Chief Minister has taken significant steps to provide world-class healthcare services including a revolutionary of introducing robotic surgery for the first time in the State. Similarly, the education sector has been modernized through several ambitious reforms which has helped Himachal Pradesh to become a fully literate state with a literacy rate of 99.30 percent.
