Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon expressed deep concern over the rapidly deteriorating law and order situation in the state, launching a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party government. He alleged that no citizen in Punjab feels safe today, while the government is "holidaying in Bengaluru" and has abandoned the state to fend for itself.

Dhillon said newspaper headlines are filled every day with reports of murders, extortion, shootings, sword attacks and robberies. He claimed that, on average, Punjab is witnessing 8 to 10 murders and robbery incidents every day.

He questioned that if the situation is so alarming in a single day, one can imagine how grim it becomes over the course of a week—a reality, he said, that Punjab has been enduring for the past four and a half years. Holding the AAP leadership accountable, Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon said the people of Punjab are demanding answers from a government that promised "change" but failed to deliver.

He said Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's absence has left the state without effective leadership. Countless families have been devastated by drugs, gun violence and murders, yet the government continues to remain indifferent, he alleged. He further said that traders and businessmen are being openly targeted with extortion demands, creating an atmosphere of fear that is driving businesses away from Punjab.

He termed this a direct consequence of the government's incompetence. Clarifying the party's position, Dhillon said the Bharatiya Janata Party's stand on law and order is unequivocal.

He asserted that Punjab can only be rescued from the present crisis through stringent laws and a zero-tolerance policy against criminals, without which lasting peace cannot be restored. Citing the example of Uttar Pradesh, he said that just as the BJP eliminated gangsterism there, it is equally capable of dismantling Punjab's criminal networks.

Warning the state government, the BJP Punjab President said the people of Punjab need security—not hollow advertisements. He asserted that Punjabis will no longer remain silent on the issue and that the people will hold the government accountable through the ballot box for the shootings, robberies, murders, and what he described as the betrayal committed in the name of "change" over the past five years.
