Minister for Health and Medical Education, Education and Social Welfare, Sakeena Itoo, today visited the Sub-District Hospital Tral and inaugurated a Dialysis Centre and a fully automatic Biochemistry Analyser, marking a major upgrade to healthcare facilities in the area.

She was accompanied by MLA Tral Rafiq Ahmad Naik and MLA Hazratbal Salman Sagar. Speaking at the event, the Minister said the government is committed to upgrade the healthcare infrastructure and ensuring quality medical services reach people at their doorsteps.

She said that the new Dialysis Centre and Biochemistry Analyser will provide much-needed relief to the patients by making critical services available closer to home. Sakeena Itoo said sustained efforts are underway to strengthen the healthcare institutions across Jammu and Kashmir through augmentation of infrastructure, equipment and human resources.

Several initiatives are being taken to improve the healthcare delivery and expand access to specialised medical services, she added. The Minister also interacted with the doctors, paramedical staff and hospital functionaries, urging them to continue working for patient welfare. Later, she inspected various sections of the hospital and reviewed the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients.
