Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today inspected the Yatra Camp at Lamber to assess preparations by various departments for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2026.The Deputy Commissioner reviewed infrastructure and civic facilities at the camp, inspecting works related to pilgrim accommodation, sanitation, drinking water, power, healthcare, road connectivity and other essential amenities.

He directed Executive Engineer PWD to accelerate ongoing infrastructure works and ensure completion within stipulated timelines while maintaining quality standards. Jal Shakti, Health, Rural Development, JPDCL and other departments were directed to work in close coordination for seamless service delivery during the Yatra period.

The DC directed the departments concerned to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, proper sanitation, scientific waste disposal and adequate healthcare at the camp and to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Yatra.

During the inspection, the DC interacted with field officers, sought updates on works in progress and issued on-the-spot directions for expediting pending tasks.Sub-Divisional Magistrate Banihal Mohammed Naseeb Bajraan accompanied the Deputy Commissioner, along with officers and officials from concerned departments.
