Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal today reviewed the arrangements for the conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 examination at eight designated examination centres in SAS Nagar district and directed all concerned officers to ensure complete transparency, security and smooth conduct of the examination.

Chairing a meeting with senior administrative, police and education officials, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that no laxity would be tolerated in maintaining the sanctity of the examination process. She directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure foolproof arrangements at all examination centres.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the NEET-UG 2026 examination in SAS Nagar district will be conducted at the following eight centres on June 21, 2026: School of Eminence, Phase-11, Mohali; School of Eminence, Phase-3B1, Mohali; School of Eminence, Kharar; PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School, Sahauran; PM SHRI Government High School, Daun Majra; Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 80, Mohali; Kendriya Vidyalaya, K-Area, Zirakpur; and PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Rakoli.

She further informed that the examination will be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. Candidates have been advised to report at their respective examination centres between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM to facilitate security checks, document verification and other pre-examination formalities. 

She appealed to candidates and their parents to reach the examination centres well in advance and strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA).Mrs. Mittal stated that the transportation of confidential question papers from the designated question bank to the examination centres would be carried out under strict police security and surveillance. 

To further strengthen monitoring arrangements, eight observers have been appointed to maintain close vigilance and ensure strict compliance with all examination guidelines.The Deputy Commissioner further directed that no unauthorized person shall be allowed near any examination centre. Entry in the vicinity of examination centres will be restricted to candidates and their accompanying family members only, as per prescribed protocols.

She said that all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) have been assigned responsibility for ensuring foolproof arrangements at the examination centres. In addition, Executive Magistrates have been deputed centre-wise for effective supervision and coordination. CCTV cameras have also been installed at all examination centres to strengthen surveillance and security measures.

To facilitate hassle-free transportation of candidates, the General Manager, Punjab Roadways, SAS Nagar, and the Director, Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU), have been requested to ensure the availability of adequate bus services for students travelling to their respective examination centres.

The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that the district administration is fully committed to conducting the examination in a fair, transparent and secure manner and that all necessary arrangements have been made for the convenience and safety of candidates.

Among those present at the meeting were Additional Deputy Commissioners Mrs Geetika Singh and Mrs Sonam Chaudhary; SDM Kharar Gurmeet Singh; SP (Headquarters) Mohit Aggarwal; DSP (Headquarters) Varinder Singh Khosa; District Education Officer (Secondary) Mrs Ginni Duggal; Deputy District Education Officer Angrej Singh; Principal, PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 80, Sh. Jagteshwar; and Principals of all schools where examination centres have been established.
