Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, today announced an incentive of ₹1,100 each from his discretionary fund for every person donating blood at the blood donation camp. The announcement generated great enthusiasm among both blood donors and the organizers.

Minister Vij said that blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity and serves as a means of giving a new lease of life to those in need. Sh. Anil Vij said that when a person is struggling between life and death, every single drop of blood becomes invaluable.

Blood cannot be produced in any factory, nor can it be artificially manufactured. It is a priceless gift that one human being can give to another, capable of saving lives and offering a new beginning.

Appealing to people to donate blood in large numbers, he said that a single unit of blood can prove to be life-saving for someone in need. Therefore, every healthy citizen should actively participate in this noble cause. Blood is a precious gift of life that can only be passed from one person to another.

A voluntary blood donation can restore someone’s heartbeat, preserve a family’s hopes, and bring new light into a person’s life. Hence, blood donation is not merely a social responsibility but one of the highest forms of service to humanity.

Sh. Vij was addressing a blood donation camp organized by the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Trust at the Sant Nirankari Bhawan, Race Course Road, Ambala Cantonment, where he attended as the Chief Guest. He inaugurated the camp by cutting the ribbon and encouraged blood donors by personally pinning badges on them.

The Energy Minister appreciated the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Trust for organizing the blood donation camp every year. He said that the selfless service being rendered by the Trust in the interest of humanity is exemplary and worthy of emulation.

The social and religious initiatives undertaken by the Nirankari Mission inspire others as well. He emphasized that blood donation is the greatest donation of life and every healthy individual should donate blood. Through blood donation, invaluable lives can be saved. He further stated that blood can only be supplied through the human body and there is no alternative source of blood.

On this occasion, Sh. Navtej Sethi, President of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Trust, Ambala, welcomed the Cabinet Minister and informed that the Sant Nirankari Mission has been continuously serving humanity through blood donation campaigns since 1986. So far, more than 9,174 blood donation camps have been organized across the country, collecting approximately 1.5 million units of blood, making it one of the largest voluntary blood donation movements in India.

Among those present at the event were Shri Navtej Sethi, President of the Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation Trust, Ambala; Shri Satish Sethi, Coordinator; Municipal Council Chairperson Swarn Kaur; Vice-Chairperson Lalta Prasad; BJP leaders Ajay Baveja, Aarti Sehgal, and Shyam Sundar Arora, along with other distinguished members of the organization and dignitaries.
