Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a review meeting with officers of the Rural Development Department and allied line departments to assess the progress of various flagship schemes, including the District Capex Budget, Area Development Plan, PMAY-G, SBM-G, MGNREGA and JKRLM.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Jugal Kishore; Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh; Assistant Commissioner Development, Om Parkash; all Block Development Officers and other concerned officers.

The DC conducted a block-wise detailed review of the physical and financial progress achieved under the District Capex Budget, ADP, PMAY-G, MGNREGA, SBM-G and other rural development schemes. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the execution of ongoing works and ensure their completion within the stipulated timelines.

Emphasising efficiency and accountability, the DC urged officers and field functionaries to work with dedication, commitment and transparency to achieve the desired outcomes. He stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of quality in all developmental works undertaken in the rural development sector across the district.

The DC further directed officers to intensify monitoring mechanisms, ensure optimum utilisation of resources and adhere strictly to prescribed timelines. He directed all stakeholders to adopt a result-oriented approach and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely and effective manner.
