Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, while interacting with people during the Jan Samvad programme organised at Shivala Ramkundi in Ladwa, district Kurukshetra, on Thursday, said that strict action will be taken against the SDO who got electricity poles and a transformer installed in the middle of a farm pathway in village Bakali.
He said the matter would be investigated by the SDM, Ladwa. Former Minister of State, Sh. Subhash Sudha was also present on the occasion. During the programme, the Chief Minister heard 338 grievances.
The Chief Minister also directed the police to register a case against those allegedly threatening the complainant. He further said that strict action will be taken against officers and employees who make the general public visit government officers repeatedly to get their work done.
The government’s objective is to ensure holistic development of the state and to make sure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every eligible citizen, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini. While interacting with citizens, the Chief Minister urged people to mention their mobile numbers on complaint applications so that departments can contact them directly regarding grievance redressal.
The Chief Minister said that the Jan Samvad platform reflects the government’s commitment towards continuous development, public welfare and a brighter future for the region. He said the development works carried out in Ladwa Assembly constituency over the years clearly show that both the ‘Niti and Niyat’ of the government are dedicated to public welfare.
The government’s only objective is to ensure the development of the region and the upliftment of every citizen. He further directed officers and employees to ensure timely disposal of complaints and warned that citizens should not be made to visit offices repeatedly for the same issue.
During the programme, a complainant informed the Chief Minister that he had purchased nearly seven acres of land in village Bakali several years ago and the pathway to the fields was part of the ownership record. However, some persons allegedly connived with the SDO and got electricity poles and a transformer installed on the pathway leading to his fields.
The complainant also alleged that he was receiving threats. Taking serious note of the matter, the Chief Minister directed officers to initiate strict action. Hearing a grievance raised by Jasbir Singh of Dhanora Jattan village, the Chief Minister said that after examining feasibility, steps would be taken to upgrade the school up to Class XII.
Similarly, acting on a complaint submitted by Naresh Pal, he directed the Marketing Board to complete the road between Khirki Viran and Rudki village before the onset of the monsoon season so that residents of nearly six villages do not face inconvenience. He also directed the officers of the PWD Department to complete the construction of the road in village Kanipla before the rainy season.
The Chief Minister directed the officers of the Education Department to complete the online name correction process at the earliest and ensure admission of a child in a private school under the Right to Education (RTE) provisions. He also directed the officers of the Electricity Department to immediately replace the transformer installed in the fields of Balvinder Singh, a resident of village Kalirano.
Besides this, directions were issued to install a new transformer in place of the transformer stolen from the fields of Bhagat Singh of Muniyarpur village.
SDM office being constructed at a cost of Rs 16.20 crore
The Chief Minister said drinking water pipelines have been laid in 65 villages of the Assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 11.51 crore. In Ladwa town, the Saharanpur-Kurukshetra road has been widened into a four-lane road at a cost of Rs 10.20 crore. He further said that the SDM office building is being constructed at a cost of Rs 16.20 crore.
Under CM announcements, the Municipal Committee, Ladwa, has been allotted Rs 16.37 crore for various development works, out of which Rs 7.52 crore has already been spent, while the remaining works are in progress. Development works worth Rs 2.46 crore have also been carried out under the Divya Nagar Scheme.
364 houses constructed under PM Awas Yojana
The Chief Minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 364 houses have been constructed, while construction of 249 houses is currently underway. Under the Har Ghar Grihini Yojana, 9,240 families are being provided LPG cylinders at a subsidised rate of Rs 500.
Under the Ayushman Chirayu Yojana, around 1.59 lakh people have been found eligible, out of which 1.20 lakh beneficiaries have already received their Chirayu cards. To improve public convenience, permanent bridges are being constructed at three locations over the Rakshi river at a cost of Rs 1 crore 35 lakh 72 thousand.
In addition, a 2,200-foot-long RCC track project on the same river has been approved at a cost of Rs 3 crore 12 lakh 25 thousand. He said these projects would not only improve connectivity but also strengthen irrigation facilities, thereby increasing agricultural production and enhancing farmers’ income.
Work on 38 out of 74 CM announcements Completed
The Chief Minister said the government has carried out unprecedented development works in Ladwa in sectors such as infrastructure, social harmony, irrigation, health, animal husbandry, sports, environmental conservation and urban amenities. He said 74 CM announcements were made for the development of the Ladwa Assembly constituency, out of which work on 38 projects has already been completed, while work on the remaining projects is underway.
Highlighting the government’s development initiatives, he said Rs 807 crore have been spent on development works in the Ladwa Assembly constituency during the last 11-and-a-half years, compared to only Rs 310 crore spent during the previous Congress government’s ten-year tenure. A sewage treatment plant and sewerage network have also been established in Ladwa town at a cost of Rs 26 crore.
Deputy Commissioner, sh. Vishram Kumar Meena welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries on the occasion, while BJP District President, sh. Tijender Singh Goldy expressed gratitude to the guests at the conclusion of the programme.
