As part of the campaign “Shandaar Char Saal Bhagwant Mann de Naal”, launched to completion four years of the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chairman of Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation Dalvir Singh Dhillon interacted with residents of Ward No. 2 in Dhuri. Chairman of Punjab Traders Commission Dhuri Pushpinder Sharma was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Dalvir Singh Dhillon highlighted the government’s people-friendly initiatives and the development works being undertaken in the constituency. He said that the last four years have marked a new era of transformation, growth, and prosperity for Punjab.

Addressing the large gathering, Dalvir Singh Dhillon shared the key achievements of the government and said that under the Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, women from the SC category will be given ₹1,500 per month, while women from the general category will be given ₹1,000 per month under this historic scheme.

He further stated that 90 percent of households in the state are benefiting from 600 units of free electricity. For the first time, farmers are receiving daytime power supply, while canal water has been extended to 80 percent of agricultural fields.

He added that 65,000 youth have been provided government jobs in a transparent manner. To strengthen healthcare services at the grassroots level, Aam Aadmi Clinics are functioning successfully across the state.

To encourage youth participation in sports, a large number of stadiums are being developed across Punjab, while continuous efforts are being made to promote sporting culture in the state. Dalvir Singh Dhillon also said that a free pilgrimage scheme has been introduced for senior citizens above 50 years of age as a mark of respect. 

In addition, welfare support has been initiated for needy families, including 2 kg pulses, 2 kg sugar, 1 kg salt, 200 grams turmeric, and 1 kg mustard oil. Residents of Ward No. 2 attended the programme in large numbers and expressed satisfaction over the government’s welfare policies and the pace of development works in the constituency.
