The School of Animation & Design at Rayat Bahra University hosted ANIMATRIX 2026, a large-scale Digital Design Exhibition showcasing the culmination of semester-long creative work by students. Positioned as India’s first AI-enabled Animation & Design School, the exhibition featured over 150 industry-ready projects, including branding campaigns, visual effects, 3D motion graphics, game assets, and architectural visualisations.
The works demonstrated structured creative pipelines where AI tools supported ideation and workflow efficiency, while storytelling and design decisions remained human-led. A major highlight was a 3D interactive campus tour developed by Semester 3 students, inspired by open-world gaming and featuring interactive navigation and character-based storytelling.
Director Parminder Singh Roobal emphasised the importance of combining deliberate practice with AI-supported learning. The exhibition was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar and Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, with Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kumar Yadav also present.
Chairman Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Vice-Chairman Gurinder Singh Bahra appreciated the students’ innovation. Praising the projects, Prof. Sanjay Kumar highlighted the meaningful integration of AI in advancing creative education.
