Marking the birth anniversary of the architect of the Indian Constitution and Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, a commemorative event was organized today at the Chief Minister Facilitation Center, Dhuri, where rich tributes were paid to the great leader. Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included Chairman, Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation, Dalvir Singh Dhillon; Chairman, Market Committee Dhuri, Rajwant Singh Ghulli; and Member, Waqf Board, Dr. Anwar Bhasaur.
Addressing the gathering, Dalvir Singh Dhillon emphasized that realizing the vision of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar requires collective commitment and sustained efforts from all sections of society. He described Dr. Ambedkar as a guiding force and stated that by adhering to his principles of "Educate, Agitate, Organize,” society can move steadily on the path of progress and equality.
In his address, Rajwant Singh Ghulli highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government is actively promoting and institutionalizing the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar and Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He noted that the installation of their portraits in government offices serves as a constant reminder of their immense contributions and inspires future generations.
The event was attended by Block President Sukhpal Singh Pala, Bir Bhan, Director (Small Scale Industries) Anil Mittal, Director Jaspal Singh Bhullar, Advocate Happy Garg, Women Wing In-charge Navjot Kaur, Ramandeep Kaur, Harvinder Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Jaswinder Kaur, along with a large number of local residents.
