Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh. Vipul Goel said that while the government is committed to providing better employment opportunities to the youth, it is also continuously working towards making Haryana green and clean by turning environmental conservation into a mass movement.
Speaking in Faridabad, the Cabinet Minister informed that a grand Mega Job Fair will be organised on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the support of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. The event will be held at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.
He said that this job fair is not merely an event but a concrete initiative towards making youth self-reliant. Reputed companies from various sectors will participate and provide employment opportunities to youth based on their qualifications, skills and talent. The platform will facilitate direct interaction between job seekers and companies, making access to employment opportunities easier.
Sh. Vipul Goel further said that it has often been observed that deserving youth do not get the right platform, while companies also struggle to find suitable talent. This Mega Job Fair will bridge that gap and provide opportunities to thousands of youth at one place.
He also emphasised that the employment process in Haryana has now become fully transparent. The earlier practices of “parchi” and “kharchi” have been eliminated, and a merit-based system has been established.
The government is now extending this transparent approach to the private sector as well, ensuring fair opportunities for more youth. He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, investment and industrial expansion are taking place in Haryana, leading to the creation of new employment opportunities.
He said that the initiative is inspired by the vision of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi for youth empowerment. Campaigns such as Skill India and Startup India have provided a new direction to the youth, and this event is another significant step in that direction. The Minister on the same occasion also shared details about the second phase of the Green Panipat Mission.
He informed that around 50,000 saplings have already been planted in the first phase, and a target has been set to plant another 50,000 saplings in the second phase, taking the total to one lakh. He said that this campaign is not limited to plantation alone but is being developed into a mass movement with the participation of the government, administration, social organizations and citizens.
He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, equal importance is being given to development and environmental conservation in the country. Following the same approach, the Haryana Government is working towards making cities not only smart but also green and sustainable.
Sh. Vipul Goel appealed to the citizens of Panipat to adopt this campaign as a personal responsibility. Every family should plant at least one sapling and ensure its care so that future generations can inherit a clean and green environment.
He also urged the media to actively support in spreading awareness about both initiatives—the Mega Job Fair and the Green Panipat Mission—so that no youth is deprived of employment opportunities and the message of environmental conservation reaches every section of society. He reiterated that the government’s objective is not merely to formulate schemes but to implement them effectively on the ground to empower youth and make the state prosperous and environmentally sustainable.
District President, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Sh. Sachin Thakur, along with other dignitaries and party workers, was also present on the occasion.
